We went to the pet store the other day to look at bunnies...minutes later we walked out with a turtle. I'm still in shock. It feels like we brought home a newborn again. Didn't we just do this 4 months ago?! He has to have a light on to keep him warm, he needs vitamins in his water, he needs a rock to sit on when he gets cold and a plant to play with, he needs a clean tank EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS, he keeps you up at night with his screechy nails scraping the side of the aquarium, and I'm pretty sure he will need a brother or sister to keep him company...and the kicker- Jack told me he wants a fish instead of his turtle! So.he.is.my.newborn. Maybe I should send out a birth announcement.

I realize that I haven't posted any pictures since little Zane joined the fam! These photos were taken by my friend, Kami Clark when Z was just around 3 weeks. Enjoy my little cuties!!

Renovations!

We are ALMOST finished with the renovations with the upstairs! We have a little work left in both of the bathrooms. Then we will move onto the downstairs- new flooring. I ♥ our new carpet! We just had it installed this past Saturday. The carpet was blue and stained with everything from cat mess to vaseline (Jack's little indoor slip n slide). SO, here are a couple of the rooms we finished. I will post our room and the bathrooms after they are finished and cleaned!  (Side note- the before picture are how the house was when we bought it. We bought a foreclosure with the intention of fixing it up.)
