For My Wonderful Husband

Over the last month Corey has been so helpful. His helpfulness started in the hospital room and it hasn't ended. Every morning he would make breakfast and every afternoon he would make lunch. I think he has refilled my water bottle at least 200 times. I wanted him to know I could not have done it without him by my side. So, here is a little gift basket of his favorite things I put together for him. Also, a tribute of pictures of us being mom and dad over the last month. Thank you sweet heart! I love you!

Experimenting

I would really like to get into photography. So, today I decided to experiment with a computer program my honey set up for me. I really have no clue what I am doing. I should probably take a class or something! But here are some pictures I took of Jack today. I had a little fun with them.

Jack's First Bottle

The bottle worked! He doesn't seem to mind it. Since I am the one who usually feeds him, I think he was a little confused at first. :) He passed out in Corey's arms afterward.

"hmmm....you're not my mom..."

3 Weeks Old

I cannot believe that Jack is 3 weeks old! We love him more each day. Right now we are trying to get him on a schedule. It's pretty rough. He cries for about an hour before he finally falls asleep! But all around he is a good baby. We are so thankful for him.

7 Random Facts

My sister-in-law tagged me for 7 random facts about myself. So, here we go. I am not very interesting though...lol. It has taken me forever to come up with these!

1) I eat my spahgettios uncooked and cold! I do not like them after they are heated up. You should try it...it's very tasty!

2) I can touch my nose with my tongue.

3) I have had plastic surgery. I had an "accident" when I was little. Well, actually I just walked in front of my brother while he was swinging a table leg that had a screw on the end of it. Needless to say....they had to put my face back together.

4) I am absolutely terrified of water. I am ok to get in a pool, but I will not get in the ocean or the lake! I think it's because I almost drowned when I was a little girl. I jumped in a sewer after it had been raining (the water was very very gross) and my cousin had to jump in to save me. The funny thing though is that my cousin was only a year older than me.

5) I love shoes. Last year (or the year before- I can't remember) I gave away almost 50 pairs of shoes and I still had like 30 pairs left to wear!

6) I have been hit in the head with a stethoscope which resulted in stitches. If you haven't noticed yet, I have had tons of stitches!!

7) On one of mine and Corey's first dates I cut myself with a BUTTER KNIFE. I didn't even know that was possible!!!! To this day Corey does not let me handle the SHARP knives. Imagine the damage I could do with one of those!

Well, that's all the random facts about me. I am pretty boring!

Mom and Dad

It wasn't too long ago (a little over a year) that we became Mr. and Mrs. Now we are mom and dad! Jack was born on August 2 at 7:12 pm. He is almost 3 weeks old now and he is getting so big! Here are some of his pictures.

We decided on a name....

We decided on what our babies name will be. We actually have had it picked out for a while. Ready???

Jack Lazarus Beavers

We have called him Jack from the moment we found out we were having a boy. Deciding on a middle name was the complicated part. But, we know this is going to be his name. :) This is the meaning of his name.

Jack- "God is gracious"
~Psalm 103:8 "The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy."

Lazarus- "God will help"
~Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
