I do not recommend this project to people. It turned out adorable, but it was messy! Spray paint was ALL over the room and the entire house smelled of spray paint fumes for a week! I did not foresee that happening. Glad I did this before the baby arrived.

Jack and I were coming home from Aim's house and we came up on a bad car accident. I, thinking this would be a good lesson in praying for people, decided to pray out loud for the people in the accident.

Me- "God please help the people who were in the car crash. Help them to be ok. (I am speaking on a child's level here, still trying to teach him a lesson) In Jesus' name, Amen.

Jack- "oh, I want to pray for them. "

Me- (thinking to myself) Oh this is great! He wants to pray!

Jack- "Dear God, please please let us get in a car crash. Car crashes are fun. Race cars crash. I like race cars. Amen."

Me- to myself... "Um, God, please ignore what he just said."

This is so cool! I watched a dirt dauber make this over the course of a day. Then the next day I watched him shove a big inch worm in that tiny hole! Apparently, they lay there eggs in there and then shove some paralyzed (when they bite it) food for when the babies hatch! Neat!

As some of you know, I lost my beautiful wedding ring set over a year ago. My sweet husband bought me a really pretty wedding band replacement. Rings are waaayyyy to expensive to replace right away! Well, I was happy and content with my wedding band and I assured myself that this would be just fine until maybe our 30 year anniversary or something. I was content, however, until I saw this beauty! It was too good of a deal to pass up! And when I say good deal I mean 85% off! They lost the original sale tag for it so they had to give it to me for the price of the other rings that were in the same case! Thank you Lord! So, here is my new wedding ring. I just love it!

My TERRIFYING fear of tornadoes fascinates Corey. He finds it...whats the word...ridiculous. If I see a storm cloud it sends me into a panic. Someone decided to take a stroll late Saturday night and steal mail boxes from our street. So after many weeks of waiting in the drive way for the mail man to hand me the mail, we got a new mail box! I just love it and Corey did such a good job securing it down so no one could steal it again! This is me using my so so cute mail box for the first time. Corey came home today and found a snake under our porch! Yikes! For the next hour we proceeded to capture it...only to have to capture it again. It escaped the first time, but not the second time! It struck at Corey multiple times and latched onto the stick he was catching it with! It was pretty fun being his side kick!

Jack has a favorite word he likes to walk around saying...unfortunately that favorite word is NO! For about the last 2 weeks he has been walking around the house saying "no me-me no". Actually, he walks around yelling this. Did I mention me-me is my sweet sister-in-law, Aimee. :) Well, just the other day I decided to ask him why he is walking around yelling no to me-me. He summed it up with one simple word- nonnie (naughty). We all know me-me is the opposite of "nonnie" but we can't help but laugh at the cutie pie. We all love aunt me-me!

Jack and I were outside tonight enjoying the warm weather and playing in the yard. I was showing him the dandelion and there was a bee on one of them. I told him to be careful because bees "bite" and it hurts. He misunderstood and for the rest of the evening he looked like he was walking through a minefield avoiding the "biting dandelions." Guess he didn't see the bee.

Jack has picked up many of the phrases we say around the house. It's so cute to hear him repeat us throughout the day. He is this fun stage right now and has the most amazing personality. He has a sense of humor (didn't know they did at 18 months), he is so smart (learning to recite his ABC's right now), he is the most stubborn (besides me) and obedient child all at the same time, and he has the cutest fake cry ever! Here are a couple of the phrases he has picked up from us-

~HOOONNEEYYY!!!! This is what he yells when he is looking for Corey. (picked that one up from me)

~Go! He says that to the dog when she is getting on his nerves.

~Moof! That's MOVE. He says that to Bella also when she is in his way.

~ETTT Go! That's telling us to "let go". Also picked this one up from me. He likes to old onto the the vacuum cord and I usually tell him to let go. Now he says this to me all day when I try to take something from him.

~Hey Baby! Haha this one makes me laugh. This is what I say to Corey. It's so cute to hear this come out of his mouth. We will eventually have to teach him that this is not how you talk to girls...

This has been a great month for us. The Lord blessed us with a home! We are not in it yet because there is some work to be done! Almost ready though. We are grateful for the Crank family (my sweet sister in law and her husband) who have let us live with them for most of 2009! They have been so selfless in letting us live with them! I do not know how we will ever be able to repay them! It will be a bitter sweet day when we move out. Jack got a new puppy...ok.....I got a new puppy. She is such a sweetie! Corey is still enjoying his new job. He started getting his certifications this month to be a gun instructor. He loves guns! Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving!

We have a new puppy, Bella! She is 15 weeks and so cute! I guess she is not really a puppy anymore...hmmm...she is kinda big actually. Jack tells her to "GOOOO" while pointing his finger for her to leave the room. He is getting so much personality. Well, I was feeding him dinner the other night and trying to get him to actually eat it and he pointed his finger and said "GOOOO" to me. Haha, I was rolling. for a house! We put an offer on a foreclosure last week, but we did not get it. I really liked the house and spent this past week day dreaming about painting and fixing it up! I only cried once or twice the day we found out we didn't get it. It's so silly to think of crying over a house that isn't even yours, but you kind of get attached quickly. God used a verse in Psalms to strengthen me.

He takes pleasure when His children prosper. That is such a wonderful thought! I could rest this past weekend knowing that He knows whats best for us. Now we are just waiting for another house or a piece of land to put a house on!

Wow! This has been a busy summer! It's been so wonderful though. So many things that happened- Corey got a new job as a private investigator (and he loves it!), Jack turned 1, we had our 2 year anniversary (we got to go on a lovely trip BY OURSELVES), Jack got his first haircut and he is learning to walk and talk! Corey took me to the shooting range on Friday for a fun date. Thank you Aimee for watching Jack ALL day! I will say that I am not very good. There were trees around (but not close to the target) and somehow leaves would fly everywhere when I shot...and it was LOUD! Too loud! I shot a glock and Corey shot a big rifle. I don't see myself shooting very often...sorry honey. It is probably Corey's favorite hobby, but I think I will stick to shopping. I can now check that off my list! What's next? I suppose rock climbing or kayaking.

Corey and I had a fun date on Sunday afternoon to the renaissance festival in Atlanta. It was pretty neat! We walked around for a couple of hours. There were close to 200 different booths you could look, shop, or play games at. There were tons of people dressed up either as pirates, elves, or fairies. They all played their parts a little too well! The pirates were very...hmmm...how do you say it?...snugly. The weather was really nice and it made for a relaxing 2 hour walk!

He does the cutest thing with his tongue. He sticks it in and out of his mouth real fast and looks like he is trying to lick his nose. He does it when he gets excited. Too cute!

This past month has been one of the best. Jack is developing such a fun personality. He has gone crazy over his daddy. He gives him sweet little "nose" kisses. Jack lightly puts his mouth around Corey's nose and kisses it by squeezing down just a tad. He will do it numerous times in a row. It is precious how they kiss with their mouths open. I just love it! Corey has been Mr. Dad the past couple of weeks. He has been bathing Jack, getting him dressed, changing his diapers, feeding him dinner, putting him bed, AND getting up with him in the middle of the night! I know! He he wonderful! Thank you honey! Let's see...what are some new accomplishments from this month. Jack is 9 months today! Corey is almost done with his PI course- two more classes to go! He got a gun certification he needed. Me and my sister-in-law joined curves! Ha! I am sick for about 3 hours after each work out. lol So out of shape! Jack had whole peas for the first time. He seems to like them. He can feed himself a breakfast bar. I figured this out when I was sick- I did not feel like breaking pieces off for him for 30 minutes. So I just handed it to him. He didn't choke and I have been doing it every morning since. He has a "puff" face. He makes this hilarious face when chomping down of his Gerber puffs. Hmmm...what else...Jack weighs 19 lbs! He can pull himself to a seated stand. Still not crawling. He rocks back and forth though. Almost there! Well, I think that's it! Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Jack is cutting his TWO bottom teeth right now. I thought it was just one. I saw the other one this morning. He did not go to bed until 1 last night. I am not sure if it was his teeth or if he just wanted to play. So...we let him play in his bouncer for about 30 minutes. That seemed to tire him out. He has such a sweet personality and he still has it even though he is teething. Praise the Lord for our sweet baby boy!

I decided to try and entertain Jack with a cookie while we shopped (one of those teething cookies). It worked, but I am not sure if I like the end result. He had it all over him and he was grabbing clothes in the store. Oops! It was even in his eyebrow! This is a good entertaining tool if we are not in public. People probably thought I didn't bathe my child! At least he liked it...

This is Jack's second "big boy" bath. He wants nothing to do with his little tub now that he knows he can sit up in the water on his own. He just splashes and splashes. When I take him out of the tub his face is covered with water...it doesn't even bother him. Jack and Ethan had a great time.

It seems a waste to pay for toys. First off, they usually do not want the toys YOU buy. They will play with another child's toy, which is the exact toy you have sitting at home that hasn't been touched since the day you bought it (that one is for you Aim). :) Second, they play with things that aren't even toys! This cracks me up! Jack had this elephant when he was little and he LOVED it. He slept with it every night and every nap. I took it away from him because he was rolling over and I was afraid he would suffocate on it. Well, I went out with a friend and her son today and Jack spotted Tyler with his elephant. He immediately went for it. He got it from him like 4 times. I happened to catch him in the act! He was so excited to have HIS elephant back...at least he thought it was his. He would cry when I gave it back to Tyler. I think it's time to get his beloved elephant back out of the toy box.

Yes, 7 months! He is a ham!...a very lovable ham! Let's see what's new...Jack is sitting up on his own (has been for a little while now)...he has no teeth yet!...He is afraid of the grass (as you can see from the pictures) and his bath water, but I'm sure Corey will toughen him up before too long :) ...Jack still has the blondest hair ever...he gives kisses...ok what's new with Corey and me...lol hmmm...Corey is taking a private investigations class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He absolutely loves it. His business that he recently started is picking up with work. Such a blessing! He enjoys every minute of it. I am loving being a stay at home wife and mother. Growing Growing Growing...

It's been a while since I have posted anything. We have been busy and tired...We moved back to Acworth 2 weeks ago. That day was the start of many sleepless nights for me. Not because I didn't want to move, but because Jack has taken a liking to waking up 4 times a night. I am exhausted! He was sleeping through the night before we left. I think he just needs to get back into the swing of things.

Jack has changed SO much over the last 2 weeks. Let's see...he rolls around all over the floor, he reaches out for people now (so sweet!), he knows when we leave him with someone for a couple of hours (he starts crying...it's pitiful!), he is almost able to sit up on his own (almost!), and he is allergic to something that I can't seem to figure out! He breaks out into a rash on his belly, but we don't know what is causing it. We thought it was baby food first...but it seems impossible to be allergic to EVERY single fruit and vegetable. We have a couple other ideas of things it could possibly be. We'll see!

It is amazing how they change over such a short period of time. Amazing. He is absolutely the sweetest little thing. He is definitely a momma AND daddy's boy. He is attached to us both. I will post some pictures soon. He is getting so big.

OK, so Jack didn't like the sweet potatoes, but I made him eat them and I'm glad I did! He slept until 9 o'clock this morning. He woke up once around 1 just to talk to me. So, I couldn't put him back to bed...he was being way too cute. I sat there and listened while he talked for about 5 minutes. It was precious. Then I put him back in his crib and off to bed he went. I woke up in a panic at about 8:30. I crept in there to check on him and he was sound asleep. I'm thinking about giving him sweet potatoes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! :)

Corey watched Jack on Friday so me and my mom could spend some time together. We went and saw Bride Wars. We had a great time. She came over a couple of hours early so I could get ready. Jack falls asleep so easily with her. I tried all day to get him to take a nap and he would not! Then my mom comes over and he passes right out. How precious!

Jack rolled completely over for the first time on Sunday. He has been able to roll over for about 2 weeks, but he could not get his arm out from under his belly. Now he can! He does not sleep on his back anymore...I put him on his back, but within 5 seconds he is on his stomach. I took a picture of him when he rolled over for the first time on Sunday. I was so excited to capture this moment! I can share it with other people now...

I do not think Jack quite understands the word "no" yet. In fact, I know he does not. Sometimes (like all babies) he will whine for no apparent reason. Being the obsessive compulsive person I am, this cannot be! Things need to be done right...people need to act right! lol Even if he is only 3 months! jk When I tell him no (in my stern voice), he looks at me all serious and then breaks out in smiles! It is so cute. My aggravation goes away instantly. I love being a mom! He is so precious.

Today I spent the afternoon at the Beavers' house. The fellowship was so enjoyable! Here are a couple of the pictures from my fun afternoon.

Our First Date Since Jack was Born

Last Saturday my parents came over and babysat Jack while me and Corey went on a date. So, where did we go??? Hiking!! We had a great time. I spent half the time complaining about how the trail was ALL up hill while Corey didn't even break a sweat. I definitely married someone who is in way better shape than I am. I was ready to turn around and go back half a mile into the hike!

I think I took a break about every 10 minutes to rest!
