Chalkboard Train

I do not recommend this project to people. It turned out adorable, but it was messy! Spray paint was ALL over the room and the entire house smelled of spray paint fumes for a week! I did not foresee that happening. Glad I did this before the baby arrived.

Fun pet store!

The tortoise just walks around the pet store. You can feed it and pet it. Very cool for kids...and parents. :)

While driving in the car...

Me- "Jack did you know that Jesus died for your sins?"

Jack- "School buses help people! Yep. School buses help people."

Me- here we go again... "do you remember what sin is? It's when we do something naughty. Yelling at mommy would be a sin."

Jack- "Cars run over people. A long time ago I died when I was in trouble. They took me to the doctor and put a band aid on it."

Me- Huh? Nevermind...

10 minutes later...

Jack- "Walter (an airplane from one of his movies) will take me and Jesus to Texas."

Corey and Jack hiking

Corey took Jack Jack hiking today while I sat at home in complete silence! I. WAS. SO. BORED! I tried to read. I tried to clean. I tried taking a nap. Apparently, silence is not as enjoyable as I remembered it being. I think I might join them for hiking next weekend. :)

Car Crashes

Jack and I were coming home from Aim's house and we came up on a bad car accident. I, thinking this would be a good lesson in praying for people, decided to pray out loud for the people in the accident.

Me- "God please help the people who were in the car crash. Help them to be ok. (I am speaking on a child's level here, still trying to teach him a lesson) In Jesus' name, Amen.

Jack- "oh, I want to pray for them. "

Me- (thinking to myself) Oh this is great! He wants to pray!

Jack- "Dear God, please please let us get in a car crash. Car crashes are fun. Race cars crash. I like race cars. Amen."

Me- to myself... "Um, God, please ignore what he just said."
